Update November 4th, 2021:
The Cascade Theatre has issued the following press release:
Cascade Theatre Updates COVID-19 Precautions
Effective immediately, the Cascade no longer requires proof of vaccine or COVID-19 testing for indoor events and moves to temperature checks and required masking
Redding, CA November 4, 2021: As the incidence of COVID-19 continues to decline in Shasta County and following guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the historic Cascade Theatre in Redding, California today announces that it will no longer require that patrons provide proof of vaccination against the COVID-19 virus or proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test for attendance at its indoor events. The new policy change covers all artists, staff, ushers, and volunteers.
Patrons at events held in the 951-seat Cascade Theatre will be required to remain masked unless eating or drinking at concession stands or in their designated seats. Patrons should not attend events at the theatre if they are feeling ill; Cascade Security staff will conduct contactless temperature checks before admitting patrons to theatre events.
The Cascade Theatre will continue to reevaluate its vaccine and masking policy each month and as conditions and trusted medical guidance evolve.
If already-scheduled performers specifically require that patrons adhere to vaccination mandates, the Cascade Theater will honor its commitments with those artists, and will notify patrons in advance of the additional requirements.
We share with all music lovers the hope that vigilance and protection against this pandemic today can help sustain a future that supports and promotes artists and our heritage of outstanding performances. The Cascade Theatre is located at 1735 Market Street, Redding California 96001.
