This family-friendly event tells the familiar story of Clara Stahlbaum and her magical adventures on Christmas Eve. With Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music, stunning hand-crafted costumes, and the only all-local Nutcracker cast in the North State, this is a can’t-miss performance of an enduring holiday favorite. Join Clara and the Nutcracker Prince on a journey through sparking snowflakes to the land of dancing sweets. From the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy to the intriguing Herr Drosselmeyer, Redding City Ballet is sure to delight you this holiday season.
SATURDAY MATINEE ONLY: All ticket holders are invited to stay after the show for a special on-stage meet & greet with our Nutcracker characters! Sit in Clara’s magical sleigh and capture a photo that will preserve memories for a lifetime.
Redding City Ballet is Redding’s premiere not-for-profit dance company dedicated to bringing high quality performances to our community and increasing access to the arts through instruction and education. All revenue from donations and sales are invested in expanding access to dance education and performance in our community. Our Chance 2 Dance scholarship initiative provides tuition scholarships to low-income dancers with passion and potential for dance so that they can study at RCB’s School of Dance at low or no cost to them. In August 2024, Redding City Ballet opened their own dance studio at 935 Locust St in Redding to provide additional opportunities for high quality dance education at an affordable cost. - Event, time, date, and location are subject to change. Canceled events may be rescheduled and tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. There will generally be no refunds for dates that are postponed or rescheduled.
