Roots & Boots Brings 3 Country Legends to the Cascade

Roots & Boots

Roots and Boots is no ordinary concert, it’s a triple threat of country stars as Jefferson Public Radio and the Cascade Theatre team up to present Aaron Tippin, Joe Diffie and Sammy Kershaw together onstage at Redding’s historic art deco theatre at 7:30pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
This trio of musicians boasts a combined total of 16 Gold and Platinum albums, 42 Top 10 singles and 14 #1 hits. Now they’ll share the stage at the Cascade Theatre for a memorable night of acoustic music and conversation. Tippin is best known for his patriotic anthems like “You’ve Got To Stand For Something” and his great sense of humor, while Joe Diffie has been delivering fun, danceable tunes like “If The Devil Danced In Empty Pockets” that still get stuck in your head even after a decade has gone by. Meanwhile, Sammy Kershaw’s trademark drawl has garnered him many big hits, including “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful and “Queen Of My Double-Wide Trailer.”
In this living room style concert, the three country legends (and good friends) will sing many of their award winning tunes, but will also share the history of their music and their friendship, and interact with the audience in an intimate setting. It’s a tour that’s been selling out for several years, and has received rave reviews from concertgoers who say it’s “one of the best shows” they’ve ever attended.
Tickets are $39 - $59 and are available at the Cascade Theatre Box Office at 1733 Market Street in Redding, by phone at (530) 243-8877 or directly through the Cascade Theatre website at www.cascadetheatre.org. The 2012-13 Cascade Theatre/Jefferson Public Radio Performance Series is generously sponsored by US Bank.

High res photos of all three performers are available here.
